The crossover of designs for this garden building makes it an unconventional yet stylish choice for your garden, and will be sure to catch the eye of any visitor once installed. As the smallest size in its range, the 8 x 6 has a more compact footprint that allows it to fit snugly at the end of smaller gardens in cities and towns, but offers enough space for you to get serious about growing projects.

Features

The 8 x 6 Combi Greenhouse and Storage Shed offers a range of features that make it a garden building with great value for its price. Ease of use is always taken into consideration when it comes to this building’s design. For example, a single door means there is plenty of room for shelves on either side, making them easy to access and thereby maximising your usable space. Behind the greenhouse, a timber-clad portion of the building offers an ideal place to store garden tools or other outdoor items, such as bikes or wheelbarrows. This shed features another single door with a galvanised steel bolt that lets you attach your own padlock for additional security.

The windows around the front half of the building are made from shatterproof styrene, to ensure safety in households with pets or young family members. These windows also give the building a striking appearance that is perfect for showing off your potted or climbing plants, while providing them with the natural light they need to thrive. 

However, we understand that a garden building's features are only as useful as its lifespan. This is why the 12mm timber cladding in this building features a tongue and groove construction to closely interlock the timber, making it stronger and more resistant to weather than the ‘overlap’ cladding used on many other sheds. The 1" x 1" wooden framing used throughout provides the building with the additional structural stability it needs to ensure it will stand the test of time. This framing has a rustic look that differs from a traditional metal-framed greenhouse and looks fantastic with a carefully picked wood stain. The popular Protek brand offers a broad range of colours when it comes to wood treatments, so make sure to explore these before ordering if you would like to personalise the look of your building.

An additional wood treatment is always recommended for after your garden building is assembled, and following the manufacturer’s straightforward care guide allows you to receive the benefits of a 10 year anti-rot guarantee. As well as altering the look of your combi building, wood treatment provides the extra protection you need to ensure your building will survive bad weather and damp in the years to come. However, for protection during the initial transportation and assembly period, all timber in this product has already received dip treatment when it arrives with you.

This building is supplied flat packed with detailed instructions and all the fixtures needed to complete assembly by yourself. We recommend that you build your Combi Greenhouse and Storage Shed with one or two trusted friends, or simply add the option when ordering to have your building professionally assembled by our team.

Delivery

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE OR DRIVEWAY. All of our Mercia products are delivered flat packed other than fence panels (which are delivered fully constructed), direct to your home, and are supplied with a set of instructions to support assembly.

Booking Delivery

You will be required to book your delivery date at the time of placing your order (except for Metal Shed). Our 'Request a Delivery Date' service is available to the majority of areas and you'll find that the majority of the UK postcodes are FREE but some areas may incur a delivery surcharge and some postcodes are not covered at all. Select a 'requested delivery date' by entering your postcode in the 'Request a delivery date' section above. You will also be notified at this time if your area incurs a surcharge or delivery is not covered in your area.

Prior to Delivery

On the morning of your delivery date, you'll be sent an update by text with an estimated 2-hour delivery slot (this update can only be provided where a mobile number has been supplied on the billing address section at the time of checkout) together with a link to the manufacturer delivery portal where you'll be able to track your order.

Please note: Mercia Metal Sheds ONLY - your order is delivered by a courier you will not be notified prior to the delivery. If you are not in on the day of the delivery you will be carded and asked to contact the courier to arrange a new mutual delivery date. The estimated delivery lead time for Mercia's Metal sheds is identified on the product for the metal shed. Lead times are on working days (Monday - Friday) excludes Bank Holidays. These estimated lead times are provided by the manufacturer. Some remote areas will take a little longer.

Upon Delivery

Your order is delivered either kerbside or driveway and will be delivered on either a 3.5T, 7.5T or 18T Lorry. Unfortunately due to health and safety and insurance liabilities the driver will not be able to take your goods around to the back of your property but may upon request place the product at the side of the house if there are no access or restriction issues. We would not risk damaging your property whilst delivering a product to an unsafe location. Unfortunately, we will not be able to go through your property.

We would recommend against arranging for a third party to install the building before it's been delivered and checked that all parts are present, as we cannot be held liable for any third-party costs.

Orders with Assembly 

The lead time for our installation option is around 7 Weeks from the date of order. With the installation option, the majority of orders will have their delivery and installation on separate days; there will be a small number of orders which will have delivery and installation on the same day. You will be advised by the manufacturer's installation team which category your order falls into.

Depending on the installation option for your order, you will be contacted within the delivery timescale and given a date for either delivery/assembly on the same date or a separate date for delivery and assembly.

Its exactly what I wanted its a lovely size and will allow some storage and a decent greenhouse area for some veg. Very happy and would recommend. Seems to be a bit of a leak by the opening window but I'm sure I can resolve that."
