Constructed from quality timber and boasting a 10 year anti-rot guarantee, you can be certain you will receive value for money as your shed stands up to the test of time. The timber is cut into shiplap tongue and groove panels. This means that each board fits together and forms a seal which offers excellent protection from rain, wind and anything else the British weather decides to throw at it. This is fitted onto a sturdy 28mm framing which, combined with the shiplap construction, combines to give the building fantastic strength. This is all further enforced by thick roof battens. All this give you the peace of mind that you have excellent protection from sun, wind, and rain, as well as a shed that will last and last.

The Forest 8 x 6 Shiplap Apex Garden Shed with double doors has a “modular” design. Modular sheds have many advantages. It means that the wall panels of the shed are manufactured in smaller parts, making handling and assembly easier as well as increasing the overall strength of the building. All Forest modular design sheds come as standard with a 12mm boarded floor for additional strength and a stronger roof support design with metal bracing.

The shed’s attractive apex roof is constructed from a strong sheet board (OSB) which is highly resistant to the elements. It is supplied with green mineral roofing felt which provides an additional layer of protection and helps to prevent damp, rot and water ingress. A 16mm thick timber boarded floor ensures you can store heavy loads inside your shed and is a quality feature you will seldom find on sheds in this price bracket. Access is through sturdy ‘Z’ braced double doors which can be secured shut using the plate hasp and staple and a padlock (padlock not supplied). With many sheds of a similar size, you will struggle to get large items in and out through a single door or narrow double doors, but this shed makes access a breeze. Two virtually unbreakable polycarbonate windows, which you can choose to locate on whichever side best suits your garden at the time of assembly, allow in plenty of natural light and they are securely fixed with security screws.

With a generous eaves height as part of the package, you will be impressed by how spacious the inside is. The shed is designed to be straightforward to construct, with comprehensive instructions included. However, you can choose to have our professional team of fitters construct your shed if you prefer. Finally, an attractive, smooth planed finial and barge boards complete the shed and ensure it will look great in your garden.

Treating your building

The timber is dip treated and guaranteed against rot for 10 years, provided that the shed is isolated from ground contact and is regularly retreated with timber preservative. Many manufacturers recommend Protek Paint, available to purchase from elbec in over 50 different shades.

Delivery

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE OR DRIVEWAY. All of the Forest products are delivered flat-packed, (other than fence panels which are delivered fully constructed) direct to your home, and are supplied with a set of instructions to support assembly.

If you have ordered more than one item, they may arrive at different times.

Delivery

With the majority of Forest products, you will be required to book your delivery date at the time of placing your order. Our 'Request a Delivery Date' service is available to the majority of areas and you'll find that the majority of the UK postcodes are FREE but some areas may incur a delivery surcharge and some postcodes are not covered at all. Select a 'requested delivery date' by entering your postcode in the 'Request a delivery date' section above. You will also be notified at this time if your area incurs a surcharge or delivery is not covered in your area.

Where 'Request a Delivery Date' is not available on a product, you will be contacted towards the end of your timescale by Forest/their chosen Courier with a delivery date. If this date is not convenient you can reply to the message to book a more convenient delivery date. The delivery timescales are as stated on the product page.

Prior to Delivery

Once you have a confirmed delivery date if you provide us with a mobile number this should be the first number and not the alternative number), we can confirm the day before delivery if your delivery will be morning or afternoon.

Upon Delivery

Your order will be delivered kerbside or on your driveway. Due to health, safety, and insurance liabilities, the driver will not be able to take your goods to the back of your property but – upon request – may place the product at the side of the house if there are no access issues. This is to avoid risking damage to your property while delivering to an unsafe location. We will not be able to go through your property.

We advise against arranging for a third party to install the product before its delivered and checking that all parts are present,  we cannot be held liable for any third-party costs caused by delays.

Installation

This option will extend the lead time by up to 3-4 weeks.

When selecting the installation option the product and installation of your product may be on different days. Forest's delivery team will contact you with a delivery, then the installation team will then contact you to confirm your installation date and go through the pre-installation checklist. The installation team will require a minimum of 2' clearance all the way around your building and the installation team will not be able to enter through your property.
