Please Note: Because of the lightweight materials, this greenhouse is not suitable for windy or exposed areas. In these circumstances we recommend a glass greenhouse which is heavier and will remain grounded. This greenhouse is also not supplied with a floor, so for greater stability it should be constructed on an appropriate concrete or slab base.

Features

A unique feature of the Mythos is the twin-wall polycarbonate glazing used in its walls and roof. This glazing has a translucent appearance – perhaps giving it the elusive and mythical quality from which it earns its title – that does an impressive job of diffusing harsh sunlight, creating a more uniform interior climate. This has the advantage of reducing the risk of vulnerable plants dying off under the more extreme temperatures of summer. 

The material is also incredibly tough. You will struggle to break it from impact, and the polycarbonate will flex and take a hit rather than shattering like glass. This makes it ideal for gardeners worried about placing their greenhouse where it might be damaged by younger family members playing ball games.

Another feature of the 6x6 Mythos is its openable manual vent, located on a roof panel, which offers a handy way to let in fresh air when the greenhouse is overly humid or warm. A hidden wax cylinder expands when heated, pushing a piston that opens the vent. The moment that chilly wind or rain hits, this wax will cool and contract, pulling the vent closed to ensure your greenhouse's interior remains dry.

The Shade Kit provides some relief from sunlight, reducing the likelihood of the hotspots that can be perilous to plants in summer. Those for whom efficiency is key will enjoy the time-saving potential of the Drip Irrigation Kit. This piece of gear is especially useful for plants that require daily watering to flourish. Use the kit to evenly distribute water to up to 16 areas of the greenhouses, with droppers that deliver a steady flow. If maximising the available space is your concern, consider adding the Two Tier Staging or Heavy Duty Shelf Kit to your order. Assembling your Mythos greenhouse is made simple with clear instructions and panels that slot together once the aluminium frame is in place. Customers find it is best to put their greenhouse together with a friend, over the course of a day or across a weekend. While assembling, the owner can decide for themselves the direction they would like the single door to open, by choosing which side of the frame to fasten the door's hinges.

Delivery

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE OR DRIVEWAY.This product is delivered flat packed, direct to your home and is supplied with a set of instructions to support assembly.

If you have ordered more than one item, they may arrive at different times.

For customers in certain areas (e.g. Scotland and Wales) the timescale may be slightly extended. Please note lead times are counted in working days (Monday to Friday) excluding Bank Holidays.

About the Delivery

Towards the end of the timescale (please refer to the website for your chosen product?s lead time), you will receive notification by the courier that your order has been dispatched. Your order will be delivered by one of the following carriers (we are unable to supply information on which carrier is being used for your order): DX, Panther, DPD or Tuffnells.

If delivery is by DX, it is an all-day service (8am to 6pm), you will be contacted with a text message the working day before delivery confirming your delivery date.

If delivery is by Panther, you will receive a text message the working day before delivery with your delivery date and an estimated two-hour time slot.

If delivery is by DPD, delivery information may come by text or email the working day before delivery. On the day of delivery, you will also be contacted with an estimated one-hour delivery window.

If delivery is by Tuffnells, it is an all-day service (8am to 6pm), you will be contacted by email the working day before delivery.

Please note that both elbec and Palram will be unable to supply any further information on your order during this timescale.

Upon Delivery

Your order will be delivered kerbside or on your driveway. Due to health and safety, and insurance liabilities, the driver will not be able to take your goods to the back of your property but upon request may place the product at the side of the house if there are no access issues. This is to avoid risking damage to your property while delivering to an unsafe location. We will not be able to go through your property.

We recommend against arranging for a third party to install the product before its delivery and checking that all parts are present, and we cannot be held liable for any third-party costs caused by delays.
